MRT testing with Leila Page, RD — a clinician who is MRT-certified and trained in the LEAP protocol — pairs the lab result with a structured elimination-and-reintroduction plan. The test result is a starting point, never the plan itself. Used to personalize, never to diagnose or cure.
Food sensitivity testing has earned a mixed reputation — mostly because too many providers hand clients a long list of foods to avoid and call it a plan. That’s not what this is. We use MRT as one structured input, paired with the LEAP protocol, to identify possible triggers and end with a wider diet than you started with.

We don’t just remove foods. The whole point is to reintroduce them carefully, identify your real triggers, and end with a much wider diet than you started with.
MRT is one tool. We use it when it’s likely to change your plan for IBS, gut healing, PCOS-related inflammation, or unexplained chronic symptoms — and skip it when it isn’t.
When the picture warrants it, we may layer MRT with functional gut testing (e.g. GI-MAP) or hormone panels for a more complete view.

The lab fee for MRT is typically out-of-pocket and not covered by insurance. The associated nutrition counseling sessions may still be covered if your plan covers medical nutrition therapy — I’m in-network with Aetna in California and provide superbills for other plans.
Lab fees vary by panel and shift with lab pricing. I’ll quote current cost transparently before you commit, on the discovery call or right after, so there are no surprises.
Yes. Sessions are virtual by secure video, and MRT kits can be drawn at a local lab. I see clients across California, Texas and Nevada.
Most people are in the structured elimination phase for a few weeks, then move into reintroduction over the following weeks to months. Timelines vary based on your symptoms, sensitivities and how the reintroduction goes.
You don’t need MRT to work together on gut symptoms. Many clients see meaningful change without any functional testing. MRT is a tool we add when it’s likely to genuinely change the plan.
