Working with Leila Page, RD on a weight-inclusive basis means no calorie targets, no BMI thresholds, no weigh-ins and no before/after photos at any point — ever. Care still addresses the metabolic, hormone and gut work most people come for; the scale just isn’t the measurement tool.

Most people I work with have done the diets and are rightfully skeptical that ‘one more plan’ will change anything. So we don’t do that. We focus on the parts of your health nutrition can actually move — energy, cycles, labs, digestion, sleep — and build a way of eating that fits your real life, at your pace.

Who this is for

Sound like where you are right now?

  • You’ve been on and off diets for years and you’re done — but you still want to feel better in your body.
  • You feel stuck despite trying “everything,” and the all-or-nothing cycle keeps starting over on Monday.
  • You want to stop tracking, weighing and measuring — and rebuild a calm, regular relationship with food.
  • You want better metabolic and hormone health (energy, labs, cycle, sleep) without the obsession.
  • You’ve been told to “just lose weight” by providers who didn’t ask what you’ve already tried.
How I help

How no-scale care actually works in practice.

01

No numbers. No tracking.

No calories, macros, BMI or goal weight. We talk about meals, patterns, and how your body feels — because those are the things that actually predict long-term wellbeing.

02

Hormone & metabolic context

Weight-inclusive doesn’t mean ignoring metabolic health. For PCOS, insulin resistance, prediabetes and similar concerns, we use nutrition strategies that support steady blood sugar without restriction.

03

Repair, not punishment

If your relationship with food has taken a beating, we go slow. The goal is calm, regular eating that fits the life you actually have — not a plan you’ll abandon in three weeks.

04

Evidence-based throughout

Weight-inclusive isn’t anti-science. It’s about following the evidence on what nutrition can genuinely change — and being honest about what it can’t.

Nutrition counseling is not a substitute for medical care. Individual results vary.

I was looking for a registered dietitian in Orange County and am so lucky to have found Leila. After years of jumping from one fad diet to the next and always feeling like I was failing, she helped me build sustainable habits that actually fit my life. Leila is also incredibly easy to talk to - nutrition can get into some personal, 'TMI' territory, and she made every conversation feel easy and judgment-free. Using a continuous glucose monitor with her was eye-opening too; it showed exactly how my body responded to different foods and took all the guesswork out. I found my body reacts to something in ways I wouldn't have never guessed. I finally feel like I'm living a healthier life instead of chasing the next quick fix. If you're in the OC and looking for a great dietitian, I can't recommend Leila enough!

I started working with Leila right after high school, when my whole routine changed and I realized I needed real help with my nutrition. From the start, she actually listened. She built a plan around my busy life and work schedule instead of handing me some rigid template that was never going to fit. Her focus was on nourishing my body and supporting my metabolism, with attention to my hormone health and my goal of losing some weight along the way. I came away not just with a plan but with a much better understanding of how to take care of myself. If you're in Orange County and looking for a dietitian who meets you where you are, I can't recommend Leila enough.

FAQ

Sustainable, Weight-Inclusive Nutrition — common questions

Do you ever weigh or measure me?

No. Weight is not collected as a data point in this work. Some clients prefer not to weigh themselves at all between sessions, and that’s welcomed. The plan does not require weighing yourself or tracking weight to work.

Will this still help if I’m dealing with PCOS, prediabetes or IBS at the same time?

Yes — and these often run alongside one another. The plan can address the metabolic, hormone or gut piece directly without making weight the focus. We measure progress with symptoms, labs and how you feel. Individual results vary.

Is weight-inclusive nutrition counseling covered by insurance?

Often, yes. Coverage doesn’t depend on the philosophy — it depends on the diagnosis. When this work is tied to a covered diagnosis (PCOS, prediabetes, IBS, etc.), it’s typically billable as medical nutrition therapy. I’m in-network with Aetna in California and provide superbills for other plans.

Is this fully virtual?

Yes — every session is virtual, by secure video. I see clients across California, Texas and Nevada. You can join from home, the office or wherever your week takes you.

What if I do want to lose weight?

I’m honest about this: I don’t set weight-loss goals or build plans around weight change. If that’s the only goal you want to work on, I’m not the right fit — and I’ll say so up front so you can find a provider who is.
