IBS — beyond low-FODMAP
Low-FODMAP is a useful tool, not a forever diet. We use it strategically (when appropriate), then carefully reintroduce foods to find your actual triggers and rebuild a flexible way of eating.
Structured 1:1 care for bloating, IBS, reflux/GERD, low-histamine and low-FODMAP work — with MRT food-sensitivity testing and GI-MAP analysis when they’ll genuinely help.

Working together on gut symptoms means we slow it down, decide whether testing will change the plan, and build a path that brings foods back in instead of cutting more out. Trained in the Monash low-FODMAP protocol and MRT/LEAP.
Gut symptoms make everything harder — work, social plans, sleep, mood. By the time most people reach me, they’ve already cut foods on instinct or tried elimination diets they found online. Together we look at what your symptoms are actually telling us and build a structured plan with a clear path off of restriction.

MRT can help identify foods and chemicals driving inflammation, IBS or fatigue. I’m trained to interpret it and use it as part of a phased plan — never as a standalone ‘avoid these forever’ list.
Where the picture is unclear, we may use GI-MAP or similar stool testing to look at gut markers (alongside your physician’s care) and tailor the plan.
Symptom-specific nutrition strategies for reflux, GERD and histamine-driven symptoms — gentle, without over-restriction, and with a clear plan to expand the diet over time.
Nutrition counseling is not a substitute for medical care. Individual results vary.

Personalized plan. A deeper intake, then a plan that may include strategic testing or a structured low-FODMAP / low-histamine phase — with a clear reintroduction path.
Ongoing support. Follow-ups to reintroduce foods, troubleshoot setbacks, and keep moving toward a flexible, sustainable way of eating.
MRT-certified and trained in the LEAP and Monash low-FODMAP protocols — gut work guided by clinical training, not a one-size-fits-all elimination list.

No. Testing is a tool we may use to personalize a plan when it’s likely to change what we do — never a requirement to start. Many clients see meaningful change without any functional testing at all.
Often, yes. IBS is a commonly covered diagnosis for medical nutrition therapy. I’m in-network with Aetna in California and provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement on other plans. Lab fees (MRT, GI-MAP) are typically separate and not covered by insurance.
Most people are in the structured phase for a few weeks, then move into reintroduction over the following weeks to months. The goal is to end on the broadest possible diet — timelines vary based on your symptoms, history and how reintroductions go.
Yes — every session is virtual, by secure video. I see clients across California, Texas and Nevada. Testing kits ship to your home and are returned by mail.
I don’t treat IBD or SIBO as a primary focus. For those, you’ll want a GI physician and, often, a dietitian with that specific specialty.
