Costa Mesa is one of Orange County's most urban and creative cities — an arts, dining and commerce hub anchored by South Coast Plaza and the Segerstrom arts campus. Leila provides virtual telehealth nutrition counseling to its residents — PCOS, hormones, gut and metabolic health — weight-inclusive and built around real life, with select in-person availability in OC by request.

Serving Costa Mesa

A little local context.

Costa Mesa is the urban, creative heart of central Orange County — an arts-and-commerce city, not a beach town, anchored by South Coast Plaza and the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, with the indie SoBeCa, 17th Street and The CAMP districts giving it a dense, walkable food-and-design culture.

It's younger and more urban than its neighbors, with a big renter population, a strong independent restaurant scene, and a college-town layer from Orange Coast College and Vanguard University. People here eat out a lot and live busy, full lives.

That's the reality I build around. Good nutrition has to work with real eating — restaurants, takeout, a packed schedule — not a rigid meal plan, and virtual delivery means expert care fits your week without a drive.

How virtual works

Telehealth, by design — not as a fallback.

Costa Mesa runs on a busy urban rhythm — younger professionals, students, creatives, a lot of eating out. Telehealth fits care into that life: a video visit from home or between things, with no drive, and a plan that works with how you actually eat.

Each session is a video visit with a personalized plan and written resources sent after. We can review labs, fold in CGM data and iterate over follow-ups.

I'm based in Orange County and virtual-first. Select in-person sessions in OC are available by request, but the practice is built around telehealth so care stays consistent.

What I help with

Nutrition support across Costa Mesa

Most Costa Mesa clients come in for PCOS and hormone work, insulin resistance, or gut symptoms (IBS, reflux, food reactions). The work is root-cause and weight-inclusive — using symptoms, labs and cycles as the real measure of progress, not the scale.

Metabolic health is the other big one — building sustainable habits around a busy, eat-out-often urban lifestyle. The point isn't to make you cook every meal at home; it's to build a way of eating that holds up against restaurants, takeout and a full calendar.

Nutrition counseling is not a substitute for medical care. Individual results vary.

FAQ

Virtual nutrition in Costa Mesa — common questions

Do you see clients in person in Costa Mesa?

My practice is virtual-first. Most Costa Mesa clients work with me entirely by telehealth — it's what makes consistency realistic around a busy urban schedule. I'm Orange County–based and can sometimes accommodate select in-person sessions in OC by request, but virtual is the core of how I work.

Can virtual nutrition counseling really work as well as in person?

Yes. The personalization comes from listening, your data and a plan built around your life — none of which requires a clinic visit. For most Costa Mesa clients, telehealth is what finally lets them stay consistent.

Are virtual sessions covered by insurance?

I'm in-network with Aetna in California. For other plans I provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement, and HSA/FSA cards work directly. The insurance page walks through what to expect.

Can a nutrition plan work if I eat out a lot?

Yes — that's actually how I build them. Costa Mesa has one of the best independent restaurant scenes in the county, and a plan that ignores that isn't going to last. We work with real eating — restaurants, takeout and a busy schedule — and the approach stays weight-inclusive throughout.
