Lake Forest is a South Orange County city known for its parks, trails and active, family-oriented lifestyle near the Saddleback foothills. Leila provides virtual telehealth nutrition counseling to its residents — PCOS, hormones, gut health and food sensitivities — weight-inclusive and built around real life, with select in-person availability in OC by request.

Serving Lake Forest

A little local context.

Lake Forest is one of South Orange County's most outdoorsy cities — named for its eucalyptus 'forest' and two namesake lakes, with around 30 parks and the foothills of the Santa Ana Mountains right at its back.

It's built for active families. Whiting Ranch Wilderness Park offers miles of hiking and mountain-biking trails, and the 86-acre Lake Forest Sports Park is one of the largest in the county — this is a city where weekends are spent outside, not on the couch.

Nutrition care should support that lifestyle, not fight it. My approach is sustainable and root-cause — fueling an active life properly — and virtual delivery means it fits around school, work and weekend trail time without another appointment to drive to.

How virtual works

Telehealth, by design — not as a fallback.

Between active family routines and the newer Baker Ranch and Foothill Ranch commuter households, Lake Forest weeks are full. Telehealth removes the drive entirely — you keep the appointment from your kitchen, around everything else.

Each session is a video visit with a personalized plan and written resources sent after. We can fold in labs, food-sensitivity (MRT) testing, CGM data and structured follow-ups so the work compounds week over week.

I'm based in Orange County and virtual-first. Select in-person sessions in OC are available by request, but the practice is built around telehealth so care stays consistent.

What I help with

Nutrition Lake Forest families look for

A lot of Lake Forest clients come in for PCOS, hormone work and insulin resistance, plus gut health and IBS — including low-FODMAP done properly as a short, structured reintroduction, not a forever diet.

Food sensitivities are the other recurring theme — for stubborn gut and inflammatory symptoms that don't resolve with the usual changes, MRT food-sensitivity testing can help identify specific triggers. All weight-inclusive, root-cause, and sustainable.

Nutrition counseling is not a substitute for medical care. Individual results vary.

FAQ

Virtual nutrition in Lake Forest — common questions

Do you see clients in person in Lake Forest?

My practice is virtual-first. Most Lake Forest clients work with me entirely by telehealth — it's what makes consistency realistic around school, sports and weekend trail time. I'm Orange County–based and can sometimes accommodate select in-person sessions in OC by request, but virtual is the core of how I work.

Can virtual nutrition counseling really work as well as in person?

Yes — and for an active family schedule it often works better. Removing the drive is usually what lets clients actually stay consistent long enough to see change. You still get fully personalized care: we can review labs, layer in CGM or food-sensitivity data, and adjust as your body responds.

Are virtual sessions covered by insurance?

I'm in-network with Aetna in California. For other plans I provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement, and HSA/FSA cards work directly. The insurance page covers the details.

What do you help Lake Forest clients with most?

PCOS and hormone work, gut health and IBS, food sensitivities (including MRT testing), and sustainable, weight-inclusive care.
