Mission Viejo is one of South Orange County's original master-planned communities — family-oriented, active, and built around Lake Mission Viejo. Leila provides virtual telehealth nutrition counseling to its residents — PCOS, hormones, perimenopause and gut health — weight-inclusive and built around real life, with select in-person availability in OC by request.

Serving Mission Viejo

A little local context.

Mission Viejo is one of the original master-planned communities in South Orange County — the Saddleback Valley city built around Lake Mission Viejo, with more than 40 parks and the Oso Creek Trail winding through it.

It's a genuinely active, athletics-minded place. This is the home of the Mission Viejo Nadadores swim program and a permanent 1984 Olympic cycling road-race finish line near the lake — a community where movement and wellness are part of the identity, anchored by Providence Mission Hospital.

That fits how I work. Good nutrition isn't a punishing diet bolted onto a busy life — it's sustainable, root-cause care, and virtual delivery means it slots into your week instead of adding a drive across the valley.

How virtual works

Telehealth, by design — not as a fallback.

Mission Viejo runs on full, active schedules — work, kids' sports, training, an older established population staying healthy. Telehealth removes the one thing that quietly ends a nutrition plan: the commute. You keep the appointment from home, around your week.

Each session is a video visit. We work through symptoms, labs and what you actually eat, and you leave with a personalized plan and written resources I send right after, with follow-ups to keep refining it — and we can fold in CGM data when it helps.

I'm based in Orange County and virtual-first. Select in-person sessions in OC are available by request, but the practice is built around telehealth so care stays consistent.

What I help with

Nutrition support across Mission Viejo

A lot of Mission Viejo clients come in for PCOS, hormone work and insulin resistance — and, given the city's older established population, perimenopause and midlife hormone changes are a big focus too. The work is root-cause: we look at labs, cycles, sleep and stress, not just food.

Gut health and IBS are the other major bucket here. All of it is weight-inclusive — progress is measured in labs, energy, cycles and symptoms, never the scale, and never through restriction or fad protocols.

Nutrition counseling is not a substitute for medical care. Individual results vary.

FAQ

Virtual nutrition in Mission Viejo — common questions

Do you see clients in person in Mission Viejo?

My practice is virtual-first. Most Mission Viejo clients work with me entirely by telehealth — it's what makes consistency realistic around work, kids' sports and training schedules. I'm Orange County–based and can sometimes accommodate select in-person sessions in OC by request, but virtual is the core of how I work.

Can virtual nutrition counseling really work as well as in person?

Yes — and for an active Mission Viejo schedule it often works better. Removing the drive is usually what lets clients actually stay consistent long enough to see change. You still get fully personalized care: we can review labs together, layer in CGM data, and adjust as your body responds.

Are virtual sessions covered by insurance?

I'm in-network with Aetna in California. For other plans I provide superbills you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement, and HSA/FSA cards work directly. The insurance page covers the details.

What do you help Mission Viejo clients with most?

PCOS and hormone work, perimenopause and midlife hormone changes, gut health and IBS, and sustainable, weight-inclusive care.
