Santa Ana is the county seat and one of Orange County's largest, most densely populated and most diverse cities. Leila provides virtual telehealth nutrition counseling to its residents — PCOS, hormones, gut and diabetes/metabolic care — weight-inclusive and built around real schedules and real food, with select in-person availability in OC by request.

A little local context.
Santa Ana is the heart of Orange County — the county seat, its civic and cultural center, and one of its largest and most densely populated cities. It's a city of more than 60 distinct neighborhoods, from the historic homes of Floral Park to the murals and galleries of the downtown Artist's Village.
It's also one of the most culturally rich communities in the county, with a deep, predominantly Latino population and the food traditions, family rhythms and working schedules that come with it. Good nutrition care here has to respect that culture — not hand someone a meal plan that ignores how they actually eat.
And it's a busy, often shift-driven city. Virtual care meets people where they are — a video visit fits around service, healthcare and retail schedules far more easily than a standing mid-day clinic appointment.
Telehealth, by design — not as a fallback.
In a dense, fast-moving city like Santa Ana, the obstacle to nutrition care usually isn't motivation — it's time and logistics. Telehealth removes the drive and the parking and the waiting room: you keep the appointment from home, on a break, or wherever your day puts you.
Each session is a video visit. We talk through what's actually going on — symptoms, energy, blood sugar, the foods you grew up with and still eat — and you leave with a personalized plan and resources I send right after, with follow-ups to keep iterating.
I'm based in Orange County and virtual-first. Select in-person sessions in OC are available by request, but the practice is built around telehealth so care stays consistent.
Nutrition support across Santa Ana
A large share of Santa Ana clients come in for PCOS, hormone work and insulin resistance — irregular cycles, fatigue, blood sugar that feels off. We work upstream of symptoms with a sustainable, food-first plan that respects how you and your family actually eat, not a template that ignores it.
Diabetes and metabolic health are the other big bucket — and worth flagging that medical nutrition therapy for diabetes and prediabetes is often insurance-covered, which matters here. Gut health (IBS, reflux, low-FODMAP done properly) rounds out most of what I see. All of it is weight-inclusive and culturally-aware: progress is measured in labs, energy, cycles and symptoms — never the scale.

Virtual nutrition in Santa Ana — common questions
Do you see clients in person in Santa Ana?
My practice is virtual-first. Most Santa Ana clients work with me entirely by telehealth — it's what makes consistency realistic around shift and service work. I'm Orange County–based and can sometimes accommodate select in-person sessions in OC by request, but virtual is the core of how I work.
Can virtual nutrition counseling really work as well as in person?
Yes — honestly, often better. Removing the drive across a dense city like Santa Ana means clients actually keep their appointments and stay consistent, which is most of what drives results. You still get fully personalized care: we can review labs together, work with CGM data, and adjust the plan as your body responds.
Are virtual sessions covered by insurance?
I'm in-network with Aetna in California. For other plans I provide superbills you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement, and HSA/FSA cards work directly. Worth noting: medical nutrition therapy for diabetes and prediabetes is often covered separately under most plans — the insurance page walks through what to expect.
Will a nutrition plan work with the foods my family actually eats?
Yes — that's the whole point. The plan is built around your real foods, your budget and your family's traditions, not a generic template. It's culturally-aware and weight-inclusive, and we work with what's already on your table.
